On this coming Sunday, Holy Church begins to sing in a new key. We have come around, in the traditional calendar, to Pre-Lent. The “Gesima Sundays” have Roman Stations. Today we are at St. Lawrence “outside the walls”. Being in the presence of the great martyr helps to set the tone.
